Hidden Valley 4-H Camp

Camps foster an environment of mutual respect, caring, compassion and kindness for oneself and others. Camp provides a welcoming space where we strive to create a place where all campers and staff feel belonging. We extend that circle of belonging to our camp volunteers and visitors and also demonstrate that through our words, actions, camp activities and training for our seasonal staff.

 

Our camp program supports young people’s growth through positive youth development. At camp we focus on 4-H programming that supports youth thriving by:

• Providing a place for youth to explore their interests and passions – their sparks.

• Offering programs that follow youth program quality principles with a focus on youth belonging.

• Fostering developmental relationships with adults who are caring, challenge growth and share power.

 

Camp is a welcoming place for everyone. One of the positive impacts of our camp is the opportunity to meet people with different lived experiences.

 

Camp is also one of the magical places where campers and staff establish some of their closest friendships, often growing over the years long into adulthood.

 

At Hidden Valley 4-H Camp we continue to promote authentic connections with others, challenge growth opportunities, spaces where people feel and experience belonging along with a positive mindset that supports overall health and well-being.
